Green infrastructure quality benchmark launched

Building with Nature is a national benchmark that sets a standard for good-quality, multi-functional green infrastructure. Aimed at new housing and commercial developments, it can be used to inform and shape the whole development process, from pre-application discussions right through to the development’s eventual maintenance. Developers or planning authorities can apply for a Building with Nature award at any stage of the development process. The benchmark has been developed by Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and the University of the West of England, and was tested on a range of projects before its national launch earlier this month. Testing in Scotland is now being carried out in conjunction with the Central Scotland Green Network Trust. For more details, click here.
