To increase the implementation of high quality green infrastructure in Scotland as a contribution to sustainable development.
What is SGIF
The Scottish Green Infrastructure Forum is a diverse group of organisations and individuals committed to promoting and furthering the interests of green infrastructure development in Scotland. We are concerned with all forms of built or managed vegetative infrastructure, including (but not limited to) raingardens, green roofs, green walls, street trees, parks and gardens.
Our full mission statement, including information on our definition of green infrastructure, what we do and how we work, can be found
here.
Since 2013, activity has been focused on developing a 10,000 Raingardens for Scotland project which will form the basis of activity into the future. The feasibility study for this initiative can be found
here.
